White Man Recorded Calling Muslim Teens 'Camel-Jacking Motherf**king C***s' in Mexican Restaurant

People are outraged no one stood up for Sawin Osman and her friends

Video of a man berating a group of teen Muslim girls at a Mexican restaurant has outraged many.

While dining at Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant in Hickory Hills, a suburb in south Chicago, the group was verbally assaulted while they were exiting.

  • According to a post on Facebook, the girls were out dining for the end of their fast for Ramadan. Sawim Osman, one of the girls in the video, said she and her friends were simply walking by when a white man started to insult them.

  • “We were walking past him on our way out of the restaurant. He yelled, ‘That girl could break a camel’s back,’” Osman told Yahoo News. “We stopped and said, ‘Excuse me, sir, what did you just say?’”

“You can go and beat it. If you don’t like this country, leave,” the man said.

“It’s our home too. What do you mean leave?” Osman said.

According to Osman, the man suggested his comment was not offensive.

“I just said she’s a big one. What’s the problem? Yeah, anything else?” he added.

Then, Nour Jaghama, 16, told the man he’s “disgusting,” which prompted him to get up from his seat.

When he stood up, Jaghama said, “I was like, no, he might actually get physical. I might get hurt,” reported CBS 2 Chicago.

As the girls were leaving, he screamed, “F**king godd**n, camel-jacking mother f**king c***s.”

The girls plan to share the video with Hickory Hills police. A manager at Pepe’s says the restaurant regrets the incident. Had staff been aware of it, they would have called police, he said.

  • Many people who saw the video were disturbed by the inaction of the bystanders
