While she was living in the White House, Michelle Obama started the Let's Move campaign and would often inspire the country to keep it moving and be fit. Recently, Obama used her Instagram account to update the world on how she's been keeping busy and staying active.
“When I was at the White House, I often hosted bootcamp weekends for my close girlfriends. It didn’t matter that we were all at varying fitness levels. Our bootcamp weekends were a reminder that if we want to keep taking care of others, we need to take care of ourselves first,” she wrote in the caption. “And even though I’m no longer at the White House, I’ve continued this tradition and wanted to share some photos.”
Health and fitness has been a strong point of focus for Michelle Obama when she was the first lady. She not only worked to make sure people in America are getting the right amount of exercise, but she also started a garden at the White House to help promote healthy eating.
She acted as a pioneer for healthier school lunches and partnered with food industry professionals across the country to make sure children had increased access to healthier food.
"What do we have to do to get invited to work out with Michelle Obama," wrote one commenter on Instagram.
