Persecuting a white person over something they may have done insensitively has been around since, well, majority groups began feeling bad for some of the actions of their contemporaries.
In any case, a Black woman who was recently shopping at the cosmetics superstore Sephora claims she was cut off when she was speaking numerous times and allegedly pointed out the shopper to a guard.
The Sephora employee denied she committed any wrongdoing and apologized for any way that she made her feel. Then came the dreaded relatability phrase…
“You guys may not know this, but I’m actually from the hood,” the Sephora employee remarked, adding that she had a lot of Black friends.
