After the terrible and atrocious white supremacy rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, HBO's Vice News released an exclusive report from the day. As Vice cameras and a reporter followed the white supremacists, a man named Chris Cantwell became a new face for the violent, hateful group.
Recently, Cantwell appeared in another video in which he is crying over the alleged warrant out for his arrest. The video quickly went viral after Cantwell cried about trying to be a peaceful demonstrator, even though he was seen on Vice News threatening to kill every protester that stood in the way of him and his neo-Nazi brethren.
“I called the Charlottesville Police Department,” Cantwell said, “And I said, ‘I have been told that there’s a warrant out for my arrest.’ They said that they wouldn’t confirm it but that I could find this out if I wanted to go [to] a local magistrate or something.”
“We are trying to make this peaceful. We are trying to be law-abiding,” he cried.
Now compare this to the day of the rally, when Cantwell openly told Vice News "we're not non-violent, we'll f**king kill these people if we have to."
Cantwell spoke of the fear he has for his safety. However, he did not appear to have the same fear on the day of the march. Not to mention, the protesters who were hit by a white supremacist in a Dodge were afraid for their lives, yet Cantwell did not offer them the same condolences.
As of now, there is no update as to whether or not Cantwell will turn himself in or if police are actively searching for him.
