A Louisiana teen was arrested after inflicting burns and blisters on a seven-year-old boy with a Taser during a “scare” gone wrong, according to Kenner police.
Kevin Alexis, 19, told police he was “playing around” with the children in his Kenner neighborhood when he grabbed the stun gun and started to chase them around, reported NOLA.com. According to Lt. Brian McGregor, spokesman for the Kenner Police Department, he thought would turn the gun on the kids to try and “scare” them.
Kenner was arrested on September 22 and booked with second-degree battery and cruelty to a juvenile, McGregor told NOLA.com.
Alexis reportedly touched the gun to the unidentified boy’s back, which sent an electrical shock through the child. The boy suffered "multiple electrical burns," an arrest report said.
Once the boy went back to his home on Friday, his mother noticed the burns and, when she discovered what happened, she contacted police, McGregor told NOLA.com.
Alexis was taken into custody at this home and booked into the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center in Gretna. He was still being held there Monday in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
