In the reports of the Las Vegas shooting, many news outlets have categorized the shooting as the deadliest in U.S. history. Although the massacre resulted in the death of 58 and injured nearly 500, one activist is pointing out there were other massive attacks carried out in the act of white supremacy that seem to be forgotten.

On Monday, activist and Campaign Zero founder Samuel Sinyangwe posted a thread highlighting the largest massacres carried out by whites against Black and native people.

  1. Sinyangwe started the thread by noting the Las Vegas shooting was not the deadliest in US history
  2. He then went on to reference several massacres and riots that resulted in the deaths of hundreds of Blacks and Native Americans
  3. Sinyangwe also pointed out that many of the reports of Las Vegas omit information from these attacks
  4. People who were both familiar and ignorant of these massacres applauded Sinyangwe for the informative thread
