Donald Trump is apparently as fed up with diplomacy as most of America is with his presidency.
After recently suggesting that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson was “wasting his time” talking directly to North Korean officials, 45 tweeted a similar sentiment, but added a very disturbing alternative.
Presidents and their administrations have been talking to North Korea for 25 years, agreements made and massive amounts of money paid......— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 7, 2017
...hasn't worked, agreements violated before the ink was dry, makings fools of U.S. negotiators. Sorry, but only one thing will work!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 7, 2017
“Presidents and their administrations have been talking to North Korea for 25 years, agreements made and massive amounts of money paid,” the president tweeted. “hasn't worked, agreements violated before the ink was dry, makings fools of U.S. negotiators. Sorry, but only one thing will work!”
So… that “one thing” is what exactly? War? When asked by reporters later in the day, Trump would only say, "You'll figure that out pretty soon."
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was reached by CNN and confirmed that all options on still on the table.
Social media also reacted to the tweets. See what Twitter had to say below.
No, three things will work: Impeachment, the 25th amendment, or your resignation.— Nathan Empsall (@NathanEmpsall) October 7, 2017

Looks like I need to remind everyone how COMPLETELY IRRESPONSIBLY CRAZY Trump is for taunting N Korea w/war tweets. https://t.co/Fwk7nwmxdV— John Schindler (@20committee) October 7, 2017
RT if you don’t want to go to war with North Korea just because Trump’s approval ratings are at a record low for any president ever. pic.twitter.com/mU6gzs68R9— Kaivan Shroff (@KaivanShroff) October 7, 2017
Jesus Christ. This psychopath is going 2 trigger a first strike by North Korea. Is there NO ONE who can control him? https://t.co/T7FlMTl5oL— Kurt Eichenwald (@kurteichenwald) October 7, 2017
