Thanks to the new iPhone's iOS 11, drivers can now take advantage of a new tool that allows them to send an automatic away message when they are behind the wheel. However, when one girl hacked her phone to send the message when she's studying, her brilliant idea backfired in a hilarious way.
Aiman Siddiqui, 20, lives in Dallas, where she has been cramming away studying for midterms. In order to prevent friends from distracting her from her work, she turned on the function and customized the away message.
Although the hack had been working out, things went south when the mother of Aiman's fiancé (otherwise known as her soon-to-be mother-in-law) checked on her while she was sick.
Aiman immediately apologized to the mother and explained she was trying to study. Once it became clear her future mother-in-law understood and was not mad, Aiman shared the story to Twitter.
According to BuzzFeed News, there are no major issues between Aiman and her fiancé's mother, and the wedding is on.
