Former Trump Confidants Paul Manafort And Rick Gates Surrender And Are Charged With Conspiracy Against The U.S.

And people are expecting Donald to "cause a major distraction."

Published October 30, 2017

The possible connection between Donald Trump's presidential campaign and Russia is really heating up now.

On Monday, President Trump's former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort (right), and former campaign official, Rick Gates (left), surrendered to Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller, as reported by CNN.

Manafort, 68, and Gates, 45, were indicted on 12 counts, led by conspiracy against the United States. Their indictment follows Trump's former foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos pleading guilty to making false statements to the FBI in a separate case.

Here are Trump's thoughts on Manafort and Gates surrendering to authorities today and people slamming the Celebrity-in-Chief with these zero-chill reactions.

  1. As much as Trump might try to create distance between himself and Paul Manafort now, people won't let him

    Not on our watch, Donald.

  2. And people proceeded to slam Manafort with zero chill whatsoever

    Damn!

  3. Michael Rapaport Said 'Now We're Talking ...'

    He called Manafort "The Rat."

  4. If you're keeping tabs, Trump is having one interesting Monday

    Sheesh!

  5. Based on the news of Manafort and Gates being indicted, people have some follow-up questions

    Hmm...

  6. And people smell Trump trying to cook up a distraction in 3, 2, 1 ...

    Good grief...

  7. Today's indictment also generated this food for thought

    Shaking our damn heads.

  8. Aunty Maxine Waters made sure to thoroughly ether Trump

    Got 'em!

  9. Could this possibly be the beginning of the end of Trump's presidency?

    Let's wait and see.
