President Obama Single-Handedly Turned Jury Duty Into The Most Lit Event Of The Year

This will be the one day everyone in Chicago wishes they were summoned.

Published November 8th

For most people, getting a dreaded jury duty summons is usually accompanied by dread, frustration and multiple expletives. However, for some lucky people in Chicago on Nov. 8, jury duty was a personal meet-and-greet with former President Barack Obama.

  1. From the moment it was announced 44 would be showing up to the Daley Center, people tracked his every move
  2. When Obama entered the room, he received a reception fit for a rock star
  3. The former president shook hands and greeted other Chicago residents who showed up to serve
  4. For the first time, maybe ever, people seemed genuinely excited to be at jury duty
  5. Others who didn't have the fortune of being in the presence of Obama used his appearance as a way to get at Trump
  6. So next time you're thinking of skipping jury duty, think again
