Every year, the president of the United States pardons a turkey right before Thanksgiving, and usually the commander-in-chief makes an assortment of turkey-related puns and jokes.

For the most part, this year was no different. However, instead of making family friendly jokes everyone can enjoy, President Trump attempted to joke about revoking former President Barack Obama's turkey pardons.

  1. Trump, who pardoned a turkey named Drumstick, joked about reversing the pardon of Tator and Tot (Obama's turkeys)

"As many of you know," Trump said, "I have been very active in overturning a number of executive actions by my predecessor. However, I have been informed by the White House Counsel's office that Tater and Tot's pardons cannot under any circumstances be revoked."

  2. Many found Trump's mentioning of Obama in poor taste
  3. While others found the whole joke and it's delivery poor in general
