Man Accused Of Fatally Shooting His Ex-Girlfriend In Front Of Her Family And Leaving Her Gasping For Air In Her Father's Arms
Police in Georgia arrested a man accused of fatally shooting his “on again off again” love interest in front of her family.
According Marietta Police, Justin Cox, 40, was identified by multiple witness who say they saw him gun down 34-year-old Felicia Miller over the weekend. The shooting took place inside a parked car in front of a home, reported 11 Alive.
On Sunday, police received multiple 911 calls about a shooting. When they arrived on the scene, they found Miller, a mother of five, suffering gunshot wounds. She was transported to Kennestone Hospital where she was officially pronounced dead.
Miller's father described Cox as a "heartless" man who had no problem shooting his girlfriend in broad daylight while children played close by.
"My daughter died in my arms," the bereaved father told 11 Alive. "She couldn't talk. She was gasping for air."
The victim’s mother described the moment when she saw Cox pull the trigger.
"He stood right there and he looked me dead in my face and unloaded the gun again on her," Gloria Blaylock told WSBTV.
Cox was taken into custody Monday.
He is expected to be charged with homicide murder, possession of a firearm during a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
