Man Accused Of Dumping The Body Of His Girlfriend's 3-Year-Old Daughter In A Creek Is Believed To Have Sexually Abused The Girl

Earl Kimrey allegedly assaulted Mariah Woods and her two young brothers.

The North Carolina man accused of dumping the dead body of his girlfriend’s three-year-old daughter in a creek is now believed to have sexually abused the child before her death, according to court documents.

Earl Kimrey, 32, was arrested on Dec. 1 and charged with concealing of death, obstruction of justice, second-degree burglary, felony larceny and possession of stolen property in connection with the death of Mariah Woods, whose body was found on Dec. 2, reported ABC 11.

Upon further investigation, Kimrey is now accused of sexually abusing the toddler and her two brothers, according to court documents cited by the Jacksonville Daily News.

Woods’ body was found in a muddy creek about 25 miles away from her home in Jacksonville over a week after she was reported missing on Nov. 27, setting off an Amber Alert.

Kimrey, who was living with Woods' mother, Kristy Woods, is being held on $1 million bond and has not been charged with the toddler’s murder.

In documents provided by the children’s biological father, Alex Woods, Kirsty allegedly knew Kimrey was sexually abusing Mariah.

Kimrey is also accused of beating Mariah’s brothers with a belt, leaving one boy with a bloody nose, according to the documents.

Although investigators have not disclosed how Mariah died, Kimrey’s arrest warrant said he removed Mariah Woods’ body from the scene of her death and “secretly disposed of the dead child’s body.”
