Horrifying Video Shows An Innocent Black Woman Being Brutally Attacked By A Police Dog

Cops were supposedly looking for a burglary suspect.

A black woman was recently attacked by police dogs and suffered severe bite wounds during the incident.

52-year-old Desiree Collins was taking out the trash as police and a K-9 in St. Paul, Minnesota were reportedly searching for a robbery suspect. She was then bit by the dog as he charged around the corner to attack her.

The dog’s bite remained on Collins’ arm for what seemed like forever before the cops were able to seperate the two.

Police video captured the shocking incident. Afterward Collins is heard asking, “What did I do?”

“Nothing,” one of the officers replied. “[You were] just in the wrong place at the wrong time.”

Collins is now filing a federal lawsuit against the department and the officer holding the leash of the dog that attacked her.

St. Paul Police Chief Todd Axtell released a statement via the Washington Post about the incident on Thursday (December 7).

“What happened to Ms. Collins was a terrible accident that should not have occurred,” he said in a statement. “I am sorry it happened and that she was injured. As a department, we wish we could go back and do things differently. Unfortunately, we can’t. What we can do is apologize and take responsibility, offer support and compassion and learn from the incident so we can continue to work to prevent it from happening to anyone else.”

Thaddeus Schmidt, the officer who was holding the K-9’s leash, was given a one day suspension for the dog’s leash being too long and not yelling out proper warnings about the dog.
