What began as a sweet gesture from a teenager and her family resulted in horrendous racism from strangers who are clearly living in the 1950s.

Before heading to lunch with her family, Madison Duke, who is white, and her boyfriend, Chris Hunt, who is Black, stopped by a car repair shop. Chris was not expecting much from the pit stop, yet when they arrived at the shop, he was surprised to find a Christmas gift of epic proportion.

Madison, of Dallas, and her family surprised Chris with a car of his own.

  1. Madison took a video of the joyful moment and posted it to Twitter

"Merry Christmas, Chris. The car's all yours," Madison told Chris.

"It's yours, Chris!" Madison's mother can be heard saying from behind the camera.

  2. After she posted the video, people gushed over the heartwarming moment
  3. Eventually Madison revealed she and Chris have started a YouTube channel, where the video will be featured
  4. However, the video was subjected to many racist comments calling Chris the n-word
  5. In response to the hate, Madison said she was 'disgusted'
  6. However, others rallied behind the couple and showed support in the face of racism
