Amid the premiere of FX's American Crime Story: The Assassination of Gianni Versace, a New York reporter is detailing an unnerving encounter with Andrew Cunanan, the man who killed the infamous designer. 

In the Twitter thread, Jamilah King spoke in great detail about the time she met Cunanan on the baskbetball court.

  3. Eventually the man's presence became a little too unsettling
  4. Stranger danger is real but so is getting free money
  5. In the end, the thought of buying some sweets was too enticing
  6. However, not a soul believed the story

  8. To her surprise, King's story inspired others to share their own odd encounters with danger
