People Are Slamming 'Hypocrite' Trump Supporters For Giving Trump A Pass On His Alleged Affair With Porn Star Stormy Daniels

"Imagine what the right-wing would say if we found out Obama had slept with a porn star and paid hush money to cover it up."

After the news broke of an alleged affair between Donald Trump and porn star Stormy Daniels, one of the president's largest group of followers, evangelical Christians, gave him a pass. Now Democrats are calling the moral and religious leaders out for their hypocritical views.

In a 2011 interview, Stormy Daniels alleged she had a sexual affair with Donald Trump just four months after his wife Melania gave birth to their son Barron. The reports also claimed Stormy Daniels was paid $130,000 to stay quiet before the 2016 election, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.

Although many believed this alleged conduct would make Republicans finally denounce Trump, his supporters more-or-less doubled down on their allegiance.

Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, a prominent evangelical activist group, appeared on a podcast and said he and other religious leaders are giving Trump a "do-over."

“We kind of gave him — ‘All right, you get a mulligan. You get a do-over here,’” Perkins told Zack Stanton while speaking on Politico’s Off Message podcast.

According to Perkins, evangelicals "were tired of being kicked around by Barack Obama and his leftists. And I think they are finally glad that there’s somebody on the playground that is willing to punch the bully."

  1. The inability of people on the right to find any faults with Trump were immediately called out
  2. Many believe if Obama or Hillary were accused of similar affairs they would have been publicly crucified
  3. The story just reaffirmed the belief that Trump will never do wrong by the supporters in his base
