Alt-Right GOP Candidate Slammed For Tweeting Racist Photo Of Meghan Markle As Cheddar Man
Paul Nehlen has since been suspended by Twitter.
A GOP candidate, who once received a Twitter shout out from Donald Trump, has been suspended from Twitter after tweeting an offensive image of soon-to-be royal Meghan Markle as Cheddar Man.
Paul Nehlen, who has shared alt-right posts in the past, recently tweeted an image of Markle with Cheddar Man superimposed on her face.
Nehlen is running a campaign to take House Speaker Paul Ryan's Wisconsin's seat in the primaries this year.
In the tweet, shared on Feb. 9, Nehlen sent an image of Markle, who is biracial, with Chedder Man where her face should be
Cheddar Man recently became known as Britain's oldest complete skeleton discovered by scientists. The DNA from Cheddar Man revealed the older Briton had dark, brown skin, which surprised many people who believed the British ancestry was 100 percent white.
Markle's former 'Suits' co-star Patrick Adams quickly came to her defense and slammed the GOP's offensive tweet
Quickly, people demanded for Nehlen to removed from Twitter
After he received much backlash, Nehlen's account was suspended
After his suspension, Nehlen was defended by some who argued he has a right to free speech
However, people quickly shut that down by arguing free speech does not equal free hate speech
