Here's What We Know About The 17 Victims Who Lost Their Life After The Horrific Douglas HS Shooting

Students as young as 14 were killed while several coaches and teachers died trying to protect them.

On Thursday officials in Parkland, Fla., identified 17 people killed in the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. Some of the victims were as young as 14 years old while several of the older teachers were killed risking their lives to help their students. 

On Wednesday, suspected shooter Nikolas Cruz took an AR-15 into the school where he had been expelled the previous year. He opened fire in the hallways and classrooms where terrified students and teachers hid. 

According to Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel, 12 of the victims were killed in the building while three victims were found outside. Two of the victims where pronounced dead after being transported to hospitals.
