Two-Year-Old Tragically Dies After A Mirror Falls On Her Head While She Was Trying On Shoes At Payless
A two-year-old girl has passed away after a mirror fell off of a wall at a Riverdale, Georgia Payless Shoe store and smashed over her head.
Ifrah Siddique was severely injured when the large mirror, which was mounted on the wall, fell on her just after 8 pm on Friday (March 2).
The toddler was trying on shoes and pronounced dead at the Southern Regional Medical Center after being rushed there by paramedics.
Police are calling the death an accident.
Moshin Siddique, the girl’s father, told Fox 5 that he feels “dead.”
The Siddique family has asked Payless to ensure that shelves and mirrors are secure so that no other tragedy similar to theirs happens.
Payless Shoes have issued a statement: “Our deepest sympathies go out to the family of Ifrah Siddique during this time of incredible loss,” it reads. “We are devastated by this tragic event and are fully cooperating with authorities to reach and understand the nature of this accident. Out of respect for the family, no further information will be provided at this time.”
