After appearing in a viral video where she drove her car while a nail salon employee clinged to the back, a Tennessee woman now faces criminal charges.
According to Jackson Police, Angela Henly refused to pay for her services at Unique Nails salon on Saturday, reported WBBJ-TV.
In a viral video, nail technicians can be seen pushing up against Henly’s car to keep her from leaving without paying. Then, the car is put into reverse and begins to back up. At one point, a nail salon worker holds on the car as Henly speeds out of the parking lot and down the street.
Police said Henly drove about a half mile with the woman on her car before stopping. When the car finally stopped, Henly and an unidentified passenger allegedly assaulted the worker. The woman was taken to a hospital and released.
On Monday, Henly appeared in court on a reckless endangerment charge.
“The victim stood on the back of the vehicle in an attempt to keep the suspect from leaving and was bumped with the vehicle multiple times,” Jackson City Court Judge Blake Anderson read from an affidavit.
“The suspect drove across the parking lot into the street,” Anderson added.
Henly is currently free on $15,000 bond.
