Just when you think the year 2018 can't get any more bizarre, Kanye West and Taylor Swift take their beef all the way to the White House and President Trump is team Ye.
It all began on Sunday night when T Swift spoke publicly about politics for the first time and endorsed Tennessee Democrats in an Instagram post.
In the post, Swift wrote that Rep. Marsha Blackburn, a Republican who is running for U.S. Senate, has a voting record that “appalls and terrifies me” and that she would instead be voting for Phil Bredesen, a former Democratic governor in the state.
She also endorsed Democrat Jim Cooper for the U.S. House of Representatives.
The invitation to the White House reportedly came after West made an impromptu, pro-Trump rant while wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat on Saturday Night Live.
The last time West made an unscripted political rant on television, he was telling the world that “George Bush doesn’t care about Black people." Although this made many of us assume Kanye was against Republicans, he seemingly changed his tune after the election of Trump.
