Voting Day Has Rihanna Clapping Back At People Questioning Her Shaun King Re-Post

"I'm an immigrant tryna get yo country together. Did you vote?"

Published November 6, 2018

On Election Day, high-profile people are trying their best to encourage everyone to get out to the polls and vote. When Rihanna reposted a Shaun King announcement about which polling sites allow same-day registration, she had to let someone in the comments section know that she didn't come to play.

In the post, King included 15 states that allow for people to register on voting day. Rihanna shared a screenshot of the image with her own caption that read, "It’s ELECTION DAY America!!! The most important day for the rest of your lives...all you have is right now! TODAY!! If you’re tired of complaining about the state of the country and government, get up and do something about it!!! #VOTE ... simple!!! You have no excuse, and If you live in any of these states it’s not too late to register today!! C’mon man, LETS GO!!!!!"

Rihanna's civic engagement caused one person to ask if she was "even a citizen," resulting in the Bajan pop star to let him know that she doesn't need to vote to help fix the country.
