Whew, Chile! Melania Dragged For Turning Down Scandal-Free Michelle When She Offered To Give Advice

Melania said she turned down Michelle's help because she wanted to serve in "her own way” even though she "plagiarized" from Michelle TWICE.

When former first lady Michelle Obama took office, her predecessor, Laura Bush, graciously extended her hand and offered advice for life as a first lady. When Obama made the same offer to Melania Trump, her offer was rejected and people aren’t too happy about it.

“Has (Trump) reached out?” asked ABC’s Robin Roberts during an interview with Obama.

“No,” said Obama. “No, she hasn’t.”

Trump’s communications director, Stephanie Grisham, confirmed Melania’s position to CNN on Monday.

“Mrs. Trump is a strong and independent woman who has been navigating her role as First Lady in her own way,” the statement said. “When she needs advice on any issue, she seeks it from her professional team within the White House.”

While Melania has every right to do things “her own way,” many found her refusal of advice laughable, considering she’s been caught plagiarizing Michelle Obama’s ideas in the past.

Obama admitted she first got the idea to pay it forward from Bush, who had given her the same offer for help.

“I’m a phone call away,” Obama recalled her saying.

Since Donald Trump took office, Mrs. Obama only with Trump at least once.

“One of the things you learn as a former, it’s, like, I don’t judge what a current is doing, you know?” Obama said. “So I’d prefer not to, you know, speak on what she’s doing versus what I did because I think every first lady approaches this job differently.”
