Police are investigating a shocking incident that took place a McDonald’s in Minnesota Monday night (November 21).

  1. Video uploaded to Twitter shows a group of young people, some of which are Muslim, standing in the fast food restaurant before a white man pulls out a gun. You can hear people yelling, “He has a gun!” before the group disperses.

A McDonald’s employee then orders the group to leave. “Don’t send them out there when the dude just pulled a f*****g gun on them,” one man says. “You better call the f*****g cops, is what you gotta do.”

  2.

The person who tweeted the video gave a description of what happened: “@McDonalds is this what you stand for?” Twitter user @snatchingedgess wrote. “We were just trying to order when this man said racist remarks, claimed to be touched (when really he pushed a kid as seen on video) pulled a gun out on kids and you still kick us out knowing we’re in danger?”

Perhaps more shocking was the remark of another McDonald’s employee who reportedly told the group the man “pulled out a gun for a reason.”

  3. On Tuesday, the Eden Prairie Police Department said it was investigating the incident after receiving a 911 call from the restaurant. “Arriving officers located several juveniles inside the restaurant,” a statement from the department reads. “Witnesses reported a verbal altercation between an adult male and a juvenile male, during which the adult male reportedly displayed a gun before leaving the scene.”

  4. One of the customers who was a witness to the incident says her Muslim friend was attempting to use Apple Pay when the gun-wielding attacker began his racist remarks.

“Jihan heard the man say, ’You’re probably using EBT,'” Farida Osman said. “And she immediately turned to him and said, ‘Just because I’m Black, doesn’t mean I use EBT.’” That’s when a group confronted the man before he pulled out his gun.

McDonald’s has not yet publicly responded to the incident.
