The CBS interview with R. Kelly and Gayle King not only made many people applaud the journalist for her professional composure during the singer's outburst, but it also reminded some of another man who became emotionally unhinged when he was accused of sexual assault.

R. Kelly's emotional protest of the sexual abuse allegations he currently faces had many people feeling as though they were watching Brett Kavanaugh hearing all over again. Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh was accused of sexually assaulting Christine Ford at a high school party.

Before he was confirmed to the highest court in the United States, Kavanaugh answered questions before a Senate committee.

  1. Kavanaugh, much like R. Kelly, became unruly and emotional during the questioning
  2. Both men referenced how the allegations have hurt their careers and relationships with their children
  3. And both were remarkably hostile to the women questioning them

While R. Kelly jumped up from his seat, beat his chest, and paced around King, Kavanaugh angrily fired back at Senators Diane Feinstein and Amy Klobuchar. At one point, he asked if Sen. Klobuchar has ever passed out from drinking right after she revealed her father was an alcoholic.

  4. The similarities between both men were quickly a hot topic on twitter
