A Black hotel employee recently turned a racist moment into a teachable one for a white woman.
Twitter user @craignofridayy recently posted a video of himself talking to a woman who he claimed called him a “f*****g n****r” during a customer service phone call. According to the dialog between the two, the woman – who came into the hotel he was working at and requested a room – had called him the racial slur earlier on the phone.
“I understand that but you called me a ‘f*****g n****r,’” the man said to the woman who made the excuse that her mother had passed away. “You weren’t sorry when you said that on the phone.”
“At the end of the day, the climate we live in today, it’s above me now,” he continued during their conversation. “There’s the Best Western next door,” he replied when she requested a room.
The incident made quite an impression on social media, particularly from those who complimented the man on his calm tone and restraint. See some of the reaction below.
Wow! NoFridayy: amazing self-control - good for you in the face of such inconsiderate, thoughtless, selfish behavior! Sorry you have to deal with people like that woman. #KillEmWithKindness is right!— rst3985t (@rst3985t) June 3, 2019

They still exist because the racist teach their kids their racist ways. It’s generational hatred. You’ll notice the daughter wasn’t surprised or embarrassed by what her hateful mother said. That means she’s heard it or says it herself.— yvette nicole brown (@YNB) June 3, 2019
