Posted Nov. 10, 2008 –  William Balfour, who’s been held on a parole violation and questioned about the shootings of a singer’s family, could go free today.

Balfour, Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson’s estranged brother-in-law, is scheduled for a parole hearing in Illinois this morning.

Contrary to media reports, Balfour is considered a person of interest – meaning that he is believed to have information – not a suspect in the killings of Hudson’s mom, brother and nephew.  Balfour has been in prison on the alleged parole violation after he was questioned for 48 hours after the Oct. 24 murders.

Meanwhile, Balfour’s wife, Julia Hudson, sister of the actress, has drawn heat for a entry.

Referring to her murdered brother, she posted a photo with the caption: “Now that Jason’s gone, I’m the prettiest one.” The posting was removed from her page after media outlets, including, reported it.
