Lil Jon Heads to the iPhone App Store

The iPhone app store has been loaded with apps from musicians including Usher, T-Pain, Soulja Boy, and now you can add Atlanta's own, Lil Jon to that list. The recently released "Lil Jon: The Official Soundboard" app lets users play sound-bytes of Jon's infamous sayings like "Yeah" and "Snap Yo Fingaz" made popular by his hits with Usher and the East Side Boyz.

In a recent interview Jon said, "It was a 15 year old kid who made this app, I guess he just grabbed my phrases from all round the place like Dave Chappelle and he put it out, and we called him and said: ‘Hey you’re selling this without permission!’ So we partnered up with him, and redid it and touched it up and did all of the phrases fresh in the studio and now it’s an app."

The app was created by the software production company, Gabe Jacobs Productions and is available in the iTunes app store for $0.99. is the premier destination for African-American’s in Technology and New Media.  We cover culturally relevant Technology industry news; mainstream Technology industry news; & African-American Technology and New Media Executives, Entrepreneurs, and Influencers.
