WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama is unveiling his revised version of a health care bill at the White House. It's expected to include several Republican proposals.
The White House says the president will repeat why reform is so crucial and what it would mean for American families and businesses. And he'll restate his preference for a comprehensive bill.
Later, Obama will sit down separately with the national commander of Disabled American Veterans and the commander of the American Legion.
In the evening, Obama will host a reception for members of Congress in the Blue Room to thank them for reinstating so-called pay-as-you-go rules aimed at balancing the budget. Vice President Joe Biden will also be there.Obama to offer amended health care plan
