Being a published author is always a good thing for a presidential candidate. During President Obama’s first run for the White House, his memoirs Dreams from My Father and The Audacity of Hope flew off the shelves. Now Republican presidential hopeful Herman Cain will tell his life story in a book titled Who is Herman Cain?
According to a press release from Threshold Editions, an imprint of publisher Simon & Schuster, the book will be available in October and will highlight his life’s accomplishments and the role that faith and family have played in it.
“I prefer not to see my life as a series of events, but instead, as the unfolding of a story. Like all stories, mine is filled with both obstacles and triumphs. But throughout it all, I have known that with a belief in God, a belief in yourself and a belief in the greatest country in the world, anything is possible,” said Cain.
Threshold’s publisher Louise Burke called Cain “one of the campaign’s most compelling candidates” and said that his life “is a rich illustration of the American Dream realized.”
