Maybe Kevin Durant Should Have Played QB for Washington
It's looking bleak for Washington at the quarterback position.
Robert Griffin III is a shell of his former self, riding the bench as the third-string QB. Colt McCoy isn't that much better — if better at all — and Washington's starting QB, Kirk Cousins, threw two costly interceptions in a 32-21 road loss to the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football.
At this point, Washington might as well give Kevin Durant a shot in the pocket. The NBA superstar and proud Washington, D.C., native was present at MetLife Stadium on Thursday night, proudly rocking a Washington jersey and even throwing around the football...with better accuracy than Cousins.
By having KD on their sidelines, Washington is doing a favor for the Washington Wizards, who will certainly be among the NBA teams vying for the forward's services next summer, when he becomes a free agent.
Until then, though, Durant can look forward to teaming with Russell Westbrook on the Oklahoma City Thunder for the upcoming 2015-16 season.
