Stuart Scott to Be Inducted Into UNC Hall of Fame
Stuart Scott's absence from our national sports dialogue since his death this past January is something we're still not used to, but the ESPN host and veteran sportscaster's memory lives on.
After losing his battle with cancer nine months ago, Scott has been honored with many tributes and even a plaque on ESPN's Wall of Fame. Now, he'll be remembered by his alma mater, the University of North Carolina, for his contributions to journalism and sports.
The school is planning to induct Scott into the North Carolina Journalism Hall of Fame, with the Tar Heels' play-by-play commentator Jones Angell serving as emcee of the ceremonies. The men's basketball program will also pay tribute to Scott at its annual "Late Night With Roy" event, which he hosted 10 times.
