It didn't take long for Floyd Mayweather Jr. to receive criticism over his new pet tiger that he introduced to the world last Thursday.
In fact, on the same day that the retired boxing champion took to his Instagram to reveal a rare, two-month-old Bengal Tiger as an early Christmas gift, he was ripped by supermodel Chrissy Teigen.
"I'm okay with people having pet tigers because it increases their chances of being eaten by a tiger," she tweeted after learning of Mayweather's new pet last Thursday.
Well, Money Mayweather wasn't going to let that slick talk slide, deciding to return some jabs of his own.
"John Legend's wife said something? I've never had anything negative to say about John Legend. I really don't even know what his wife does," Mayweather told FightHype.com this week. "I never seen John Legend's wife in my life. And if I did I probably just don't remember it."
He also set the record straight on why he has a pet tiger in the first place.
"I'm not getting a tiger to let my tiger run around the city and bite people," Mayweather said. "We're trying to help save tigers."
Former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson also had a pet tiger during the height of his career.
