Well, the Swoosh is getting a jump-start on honoring the hoops legend before his final NBA game Wednesday night, when his Los Angeles Lakers host the Utah Jazz.
On Sunday, Nike unleashed a video, showing several athletes bowing down and tributing Bryant in the ultimate way — with unabashed respect.
Everyone from Russell Wilson to LeBron James, Odell Beckham Jr., Serena Williams, Richard Sherman, Kevin Durant, Tiger Woods, Kyrie Irving, Bryant's former Lakers' coach Phil Jackson and more tip their hats to the five-time champion in this clip.
Amongst the highlights?
King James saying: "He's always trying to take your heart out, man, and you gotta be ready for that."
Added Wilson: "He could make the game-winning shot. He's clutch."
Serena, a legend in her own right, kept the praises for Kobe coming.
"He always played because he loved the sport," Williams said. "Not for any other reason."
While all the athletes involved are incredibly candid, KD has the best two comments in the clip if you ask us.
"He happened to say, like, 'You guys can't even sit at the lunch table with me. I got five championships. What do you have?'" Durant entertainingly recalled Bryant telling him.
When asked to sum up Kobe in one word, Sherman says "obsessive" and Irving adds "relentless," before KD bluntly offers, "A******."
Kobe would especially appreciate that last sentiment.
