Derrick Rose has a request for the woman accusing him of rape — put a name to your claim.
Last week, according to Bossip, the Chicago Bulls' star point guard demanded that the judge toss his accuser's $21 million lawsuit against him, unless she reveals her name.
Currently, Rose's rape accuser's filed lawsuit is under Jane Doe and Rose says his lawyers aren't able to build his defense around her allegations, unless she puts a name to her complaint. The woman claims that Rose and two of his friends drugged her and gang raped her inside her apartment back in August 2013 — something that the NBA star has dismissed as nothing more than a cash grab attempt.
According to court documents obtained by Bossip, Rose wants the woman's parents to give a deposition, but he can't do that since his accuser is going by Jane Doe and not her real identity.
Furthermore, Rose claims that the woman was never raped and that her text messages show her willingness to buy sex toys and have consensual sex that night.
"This is not a rape case," part of the court documents obtained by Bossip read. "It's pure and simple extortion by a plaintiff who does not want to be deposed on her own exculpatory texts because every lay witness in the case will shred Plaintiff's story."
He also says that the woman's current Instagram posts are very sexual and that they even boast of having sexual escapades with multiple men at a time.
The accuser wants her complaint to remain under Jane Doe, stating that other sex crime victims would be hesitant to come forward if she is forced to reveal her name. She added that being forced to do so would only further shame her.
Last month, Rose's lawyers already asked the woman to turn in the used condoms from the night that she claimed to be raped.
Do you think Rose's accuser should have to reveal her name?
