The top of Forbes's annual World's Highest-Paid Athletes list touts some usual suspects that won't surprise you, with blockbuster names such as LeBron JamesKevin Durant and soccer superstars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, who ranks first.

But take a closer look and there's a new face in the Top 20 of the prestigious 100-athlete list and it's none other than Russell Wilson.

The Seattle Seahawks star quarterback ranks 18th on Forbes's 2016 World's Highest-Paid Athletes on the strength of the $41.8 million in earnings he's estimated to rake in this year.

His high placement on the annual list comes on the strength of the four-year, $87.6 million contract extension — including a $31 million signing bonus — he inked with the Seahawks last summer.

Wilson brings in additional dollars through business partnerships with the likes of Microsoft, Bose, Nike and Braun, to name a few. He even launched his own Good Man Brand clothing line at Nordstrom this year. Oh, you fancy, huh?

All this being said, you better believe that he and Ciara are going to go all out via a wedding for the ages this summer. And why shouldn't they? The man is PAID!

If you're curious about the Top 5 of the list, it's Ronaldo, Messi, King James, tennis star Roger Federer and KD.

But let Russ and, better yet, CiCi, tell you that 18th isn't too shabby.
