Stephen A. Smith remains one of the most-connected journalists in sports, particularly the NBA.
But while the ESPN personality regularly breaks hoops news, he should stay away from predicting NBA Finals results.
A recent video that has surfaced on the internet shows that Stephen A. has incorrectly picked the NBA Finals results for the past six years, including the 2016 Finals, where he predicted that the Golden State Warriors would defeat the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Hey, so did a lot of other people, but they're not Stephen A. Maybe he just has a hard time figuring out LeBron James, who has now appeared in six straight Finals.
Watching him incorrectly predict the Finals results from 2011 onward in this video is painful and cringe-worthy to say the least.
What's worse is it's actually seven straight years of getting the Finals results wrong if you count this uncovered transcript where he incorrectly said that the Boston Celtics would defeat the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2010 Finals. Didn't happen.
Damn, bruh. And while he usually doesn't give a damn about Twitter trolls, Smith did get irked to the point of responding to one follower Tuesday about the ineptitude of his Finals predictions.
Before that, Stephen A. flat out admitted his Finals predicting futility.
He also incorrectly predicted that the Carolina Panthers would defeat the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50 this past February, but who's counting?
Maybe Stephen A. will right his wrongs and end his bad streak with next year's Finals.
