Over his glorious 20-year NBA career, Kobe Bryant has built a body of work so pristine that it almost resembles art.
That could be why Nike tabbed two-time Grammy Award-winning jazz pianist Robert Glasper to compose "Be Courageous," a musical arrangement meant to celebrate the full breadth of the Black Mamba's career, which inlcudes five league titles, two Finals MVPs, one league MVP and 17 All-Star Game selections.
Glasper's creative process for the tribute to Bryant was captured in a short film produced by Nike for all to see.
"This is kind of like the Kobe theme song, if you will," Glasper says in the clip.
He adds later: "I want to make sure it sounds champion in celebrating Kobe, even with the hills and valleys of it."
