Usually it's the father doling out advice and direction to his son to follow in sports.
Well, in a role reversal of sorts, Dwyane Wade's 13-year-old son, Zaire, sent his famous dad a couple of inspiring text messages for what to look out for on the court Tuesday night, prior to Wade's Miami Heat taking on the Brooklyn Nets.
Let's just say Zaire, a serious baller himself, is wise beyond his years. Zaire opens up his text messages to his dad, telling Dwyane that he has been watching his games to see if there's any areas that he could help him with.
But young Zaire wasn't done delivering hoops wisdom to his dad just yet, urging him to "stay on attack mode, big dog," to "stop being so hard on yourself," and "most important, play for a passion."
Well, he told him, didn't he?
Reporter Ethan J. Skolnick published Zaire's texts, right off Wade's smart phone, onto his Instagram account, with permission from the Heat superstar, of course.
What gems of advice from a young but knowledgeable 13-year-old.
