LeBron James certainly has clout.
When he says something, his fans listen.
Well, the three-time NBA champion has made his decision about who the next president of the United States should be — and he's going with Hillary Clinton.
In an op-ed exclusively penned for Business Insider, King James explains why he's officially endorsing Clinton for president.
One of the most sticking statements James makes in his op-ed?
As part of his endorsement of Clinton, James touched on the violence affecting the African-American community. While he said that he's unsure how to end the violence, James stated that "we need a president who brings us together and keeps us unified" and that "we must all stand together — no matter where we are from or the color of our skin."
He added, "And Hillary is running on the message of hope and unity that we need."
Clinton certainly appreciated that sentiment and James's overall endorsement, tweeting LeBron's quote and providing a link to his full op-ed.
James ended his op-ed imploring his fans and everyone reading to "register to vote, show up to the polls, and vote for Hillary Clinton."
