The NBA's Twitter Account Was Dragged for Only Referring to Dave Chappelle as a 'Fan' While Naming Amy Schumer

"What did the five fingers say to the face?"

Published May 22, 2017

During Game 3 of the Boston Celtics-Cleveland Cavaliers Eastern Conference Finals last night, cameras caught Dave Chappelle and Amy Schumer enjoying the playoff contest behind the Cavs' bench.

But for some inexplicable reason, the NBA's official Twitter account decided to tweet out the moment with a caption that read, "Amy and a fan on @NBAonTNT."

Wait ... what!?

"Amy and a fan!?"

What disrespect to the legendary Dave Chappelle! If anything it should have been the other way around.

Needless to say, the tweet got the NBA's Twitter account dragged to hell and back with these heated reactions.

  1. Here's The Moment That @NBA Totally Played Itself

    Wow ... really?

  2. Twitter Wasn't Amused

And this was just the beginning of the @NBA Twitter account having to hold this major L.

  3. And people used 'Chappelle's Show' moments to drive their point home

    We're dead at Dylan's reaction.

  4. The NBA's disrespectful tweet had the Internet like ...

    SLAP!

  5. The NBA also gave us good reason to let Rick James talk to them

How else can you explain it?

  6. Current NBA Players and Hoop Legends Responded Like ...

    Flagrant fouls on deck.

  7. People Just Had to ask ...

    That's NOT the one.

  8. #FACTS

    Nothing but real talk here.

  9. More than anything, just ... how?

Act like you know one of the greatest comedians to ever do it next time.
