Will Hoop Fans Finally Put the LeBron James-Michael Jordan Comparison to Bed?

"People thinking Bron was as great as MJ."

Published June 13, 2017

The Golden State Warriors defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers in five games to win the 2017 NBA championship dropped LeBron James's NBA Finals record to 3-5.

And that was enough for hoop fans to seemingly put the comparison between King James and Michael Jordan to bed. After all, MJ did go a perfect 6-0 in the Finals. So, sorry Bron, but people ain't trying to hear it anymore. Well, at least right now.

  1. LeBron averaged a triple-double over these Finals, but the Kevin Durant-led Warriors just had too much firepower

And people used Bron's loss to kill comparisons between him and the GOAT.

  2. People were like ...

  3. And they couldn't resist dragging other hoop legends into their argument

A triple-double does constitute rising, bruh. We just think the Warriors had too much firepower for King James to overcome.

  4. There was a lot more where that came from, too

    Savage AF!

  5. The GOAT Remains The GOAT

    Not on MJ's watch.

  6. Is Jordan doing this right about now?

    This is just foul.

  7. And you already know that bron had to get the MJ Crying meme treatment

    The Finals edition.

  8. But King James got his fair share of love, too

    All #Facts?

  9. But at the end of the day ...

    Do you agree?
