The general consensus after Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s 10th-round TKO win over Conor McGregor in Las Vegas on Saturday night was clear — "Money" May's 50-0 record spells his undisputed greatness, but McGregor's game effort was noticed.
That's the way LeBron James and many of his NBA peers saw the fight, saluting Mayweather's greatness, but also respecting McGregor's courage and showing for someone who was fighting a professional boxing match for the first time.
Here's what King James, who was sitting ringside at the fight, and many other NBA stars said following the Mayweather-McGregor mega bout.
It was rather unique to say the least.
Lot of respect, indeed. To hang with the boxing legend for 10 rounds wasn't a small feat.
Neither are we. Not mad at all.
Do you agree? Is Mayweather the undisputed best ever boxer?
All #Facts.
A lot of money, indeed -- via a combined $400 million-plus that the fighters are supposed to take home. Was there really a loser?
If Mayweather sticks to his word and stays retired this time, what do you think his lasting legacy over boxing will be?
