Tom Brady Says He Hopes Colin Kaepernick Gets Signed By An NFL Team

"I’ve always watched him and admired him."

A lot of people got angry with Tom Brady after he voiced his support for Donald Trump during the campaign trail. Now, it seems he’s taking at least a small step back to getting a possible invite to the barbeque.

During an interview Norah O’Donnell for CBS This Morning, the New England Patriots quarterback was asked whether he thinks Colin Kaepernick should get another another shot at QB in the National Football League. His answer wasn’t politically calculated.

"I sure hope so," he replied. "I’ve always watched him and admired him, the way that he’s played. He was a great young quarterback. He came to our stadium and beat us and took his team to the Super Bowl in 2012. He accomplished a lot in the pros as a player and he’s certainly qualified. I hope he gets a shot."

No part of the interview aired involved Brady actually speaking on protesting the national anthem, so he merely spoke on Kaep as a player. Still, it’s a far cry from when Tom was found with that MAGA hat in his locker.
