The Reporter Cam Newton Made Sexist Remark To Is Apologizing For Past Racist Tweets

One of them said "racist jokes the whole drive home."

Cam Newton apologized Thursday night after Dannon dropped him as a spokesperson for making a sexist comment to a female reporter.

But it turns out that the Carolina Panthers' star quarterback wasn't the only one apologizing yesterday. That's because Jourdan Rodrigue, the Charlotte Observer beat reporter that Newton made the sexist remark to, took to her Twitter account yesterday to apologize for past racist tweets she made that came to light.

  • The sports editor of the 'Charlotte Observer' that Rodrigue works for even tweeted out an article from the newspaper covering her apology

     

    “The Twitter posts are regrettable and we wish they hadn’t happened," the newspaper's editor Sherry Chisenhall is quoted as saying in the article. "We don’t condone the posts or the messages they convey. We believe Jourdan is deeply sincere in her apology and regret about those tweets.”
