J.Lo Tried To Shoot Her Shot To Get A-Rod The Yankees' Manager Job With This IG Post

"It couldn't be clearer."

Earlier this month, Alex Rodriguez already stated that he wasn't interested in managing the New York Yankees, the former team he played for, comparing the position to being the president of the United States.

But that isn't stopping the former Major League Baseball slugger-turned-analyst's girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, from trying to shoot her shot to get A-Rod hired as the Yankees' next manager.

Yesterday, J.Lo took to her Instagram account and posted a shot of her man in pinstripes, writing, "It couldn’t be clearer," while using the hash tag, "#ARodForYankeesManager." Accompanying her caption was a link to an article entitled, "The best and only choice for Yankees manager is obvious," lobby for Rodriguez to fill the vacant position.

Take a look at how Lopez did it.

Rodriguez's tenure with the Yankees from 2004-2013 and 2015-16, including his 2014 season-long suspension due to his involvement in a performance-enhancing drugs scandal, was tumultuous at times. But the former third baseman did help the Bronx Bombers win a World Series championship in 2009 and few would doubt his baseball I.Q. and overall love of the game.

Still, the chances of the Yankees offering A-Rod their open manager job would be slim, considering the franchise's general manager, Brian Cashman, actually sought out the 42-year-old's advice about the vacant position, but not to see if the former slugger wanted the job, according to Newsday.

“I reached out to Alex a number of times [and asked] ‘Hey, whaddya got?’” Cashman told Newsday, as reported Friday, about getting Rodriguez's input. “I looked for a lot of guidance from a lot of people that I have respect for, and Alex knows baseball as well as anybody. He certainly connected with me about what his thoughts are and the types of people he thinks we should play on.”

Cashman added: “He never expressed interest in any way, shape or form. I engaged him. I don’t want to speak for him, but I don’t think he has any interest in that position.”

Hey, that being said, we're not mad at J.Lo for putting the vibes out there. After all, the longer the Yankees' managerial search lasts, the more A-Rod's name might come up.
