In the final seconds of overtime in the first NBA Finals game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors, Shaun Livingston took a jump shot even though his team was up by almost 10 points. When Tristan Thompson communicated his disdain for the shot, all hell broke loose.
Officiating chief Steve Javie said he could see Thompson’s elbow motioning towards Livingston’s head, and the power forward was given a flagrant foul.
Although Thompson never hit Livingston, he made sure to make contact with another Warriors player.
Thompson was walking off the court when Draymond Green began taunting him with an applause. In retaliation, Thompson shoved the ball in Green’s face.
