"[He] is a true patriot. Fighting for justice is an act of love."

In a breathtaking moment of the conversation surrounding NFL players kneeling during the national anthem, Philadelphia Eagles safety Malcolm Jenkins used signs instead of words to get his message across.

During a media interview on Wednesday, Jenkins held a series of signs which explained the police brutality the Black players in the league are protesting.

  1. The first sign Jenkins held up read: "You aren't listening"

Jenkins sign interview came after President Donald Trump canceled the Super Bowl-winning team's trip to the White House after many players said they weren't going. Trump used the announcement to condemn the players for "disrespecting the flag."

  2. Jenkins used statistics about Black people killed by police and cited other athletes who have used their platform for good
  3. Jenkins was called a "patriot" for his powerful press conference
