Alex Rodriguez Clarifies Claim Kylie Jenner Talked About 'Lipstick And How Rich She Is' At Met Gala
Baseball legend Alex Rodriguez is setting the record straight about his interaction with Kylie Jenner at this year’s Met Gala.
In an interview for the most recent issue of Sports Illustrated, Rodriguez said he and fiancee Jennifer Lopez were seated at the same table as Kyle and her older sister Kendall Jenner. His quote in the issue suggested Kylie spent most of the time talking about herself.
"Kylie was talking about Instagram and her lipstick, and how rich she is," Alex claimed of Kylie.
However, after his comments went viral and were picked up by many major news outlets, Kylie Jenner clapped back on Twitter, writing, “Umm, no i didn’t. We only spoke about Game of Thrones.”
The 43-year-old former Yankees star responded by clarifying he was the one who brought up her makeup line.
"OMG that’s right @KylieJenner!! It was me talking about you and your makeup line and how much my girls love you. #GOT #respect #alllove," he wrote.
A-Rod’s original comments come after Forbes magazine named Jenner the world's youngest self-made billionaire in March and placed her at the No. 23 spot on its 2019 list of “America's Richest Self-Made Women.”
The magazine estimated Kylie Cosmetics is worth at least $900 million.
